60 Minute | Reflexology

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is designed to activate your parasympathetic nervous system, bringing your mind and body into a state of relaxation.

MY Soma Sculpting Workout

This class is for anyone looking to strengthen and tone their body in a very balanced mindful way. By attending regularly you will develop greater core awareness and strength. Focusing on working only the larger muscle groups can create imbalance. This offering is intentionally designed to work the entire body including smaller accessory muscles for balanced strength that will make you excited to move and exercise your body.

You will experience a fun workout inspired by elements of Barre, Pilates and Aerobics woven together seamlessly. Come prepared to sweat! The room will be kept at around 80 degrees. We will be using hand weights of between 1-3 lbs. Hand weights provided for use or you can bring your own. Please no weights over 3 lbs. as we are not looking to bulk up our muscles but instead increase our endurance and strengthen/tone the entire body 360 degrees. You may use your own ankle weights for the leg portion of class. Ankle weights will not be provided but are welcomed and encouraged especially after attending consistently over time.

Soma means body. Somatics means experiencing the body from within indicating a mindful approach will be taken for this workout which will support your nervous system, keep your body safe and enhance your overall wellbeing.

Re-Sounding Yin

A state of attentive relaxation in the mind can facilitate restoration and repair. The process is simple once we eliminate the stressors and distractions of our daily routine and find a quiet place to rest. We allow comfort to reach the body. We allow calm to enter the mind.

In our Re-Soundingly Yin class, we use yin yoga, restorative postures and sound bathing to activate the 'rest and heal' mode of our nervous system called the Parasympathetic. This is how we experience an ultimate place of relaxation.

Yin poses are long held deep stretches which access the deep layers of muscle and fascia. Restorative poses help us to relax the body with supported of bolsters and blankets. Sound bathing instruments are used to align the frequencies of the energetic body.

JOIN THE MOVEMENT !! Discover a new found sense of bliss as you explore unexpected ways to move your body, use your breath and experience your own energy to create a peaceful state of mind. This class is centered around healing movements and yoga traditions in which our energy is at the core. Our energy system is the underpinning of all other systems in the body. When we positively affect our energy systems comprised in part of chakras (energy centers along the spine) and meridians (energy channels all through the body) it brings balance and vitality to the whole body on a physical, mental and emotional level.

This is a 75 minute class which cultivates a devotion to the subtleties of the mind and spirit while also supporting and strengthening the physical body. Breath-focused, imaginative, playful movement and visualization meditations is what makes this practice so unique, transformative and accessible to everyone.

With regular practice, greater body awareness is developed. This translates to an ability to tailor these natural movements to your body's current needs whether that be gentle or more dynamic.

The elements of this yoga practice are accessible to everyone. The extra time (75 minute class) is for deeper relaxation to occur towards the end of class.

Introduction to Yoga History & Philosophy Workshop

What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than learning about Yoga’s history and philosophy? Modern Yoga looks completely different than ancient Yoga practices. How and why did this happen? In this workshop, we’ll learn about the origins of Yoga in the pre-Vedic times and its different iterations throughout its complex history. Along the way, we’ll discuss Yoga philosophy! Yoga philosophy tends to be the most overlooked part of the way the West practices Yoga. We’ll also address some common Yoga conundrums, like why are words in Sanskrit so long? How did the chakras get their colors? Is Yoga a “Hindu” practice or something different?

If you have any burning requests to learn about that pertain to this topic, please talk to Matthew before the workshop so it can be incorporated in our discussion!

Join our Book Club! We meet bi-monthly for a relaxed gathering that includes a little yoga or stretching, a warm cup of tea, and an engaging discussion about a book. Selected books will focus on topics related to yoga, health, mental health, science, or philosophy. The goal is to learn something new, enjoy community, and have fun in the process.

We'll choose books that are accessible, either through the local county library or for purchase online. There may even be digital versions, depending on the book. As some of you know, I have "Dave's Reading List," which features great options.

The book for September and beyond will be the Bhagavad Gita. You can engage with any translation of this book for lively discussion on ancient yogic philosophy as it applies to present day life, challenges, and meaning.

Cost: $15 to help cover the cost of studio space, tea, etc.

To ensure commitment, we ask that you sign up at least one month ahead of time and dive into the book as soon as possible.

Puppy Yoga Event with Knine Rescue, Inc.

Let us come together for a great cause. Join us in the experience of a Yoga Class open to ages young and old (ages 14-99+) with the company of puppy dogs. This event is being sponsored by Mindful You Yoga & Wellness for the benefit of Knine Rescue Inc.

Join us from 1 - 2:30 pm on the day of the event at Mindful You Yoga. The yoga class will begin at 1:00 pm. Please come as early as 12:30 to meet the adoptable puppies and stay after to continue to hang out with the puppies and other like minded people that care about rescue dogs.

Sound Healing can be traced back 40,000 years. Since ancient times sound has been used as a wellness practice for relaxation and deep levels of healing. Now science is proving the benefits of sound healing to be far reaching and tangible. Sound has an elemental impact on our physiology. Research has provided insight into how sound vibrations affect us on a cellular level impacting brain, nerve, muscle and organ function.

A 1:1 sound healing session could be beneficial for working with pain, tension relief, muscle stiffness, lowering stress, boosting immune function and balancing the nervous system. Using Gongs, Crystal Singing Bowls, Tuning Forks, Chimes and other sound healing instruments to create vibrations that affect all levels of your being.

Vinyasa Power Yoga

For students already familiar with yoga looking to be challenged with a Vinyasa style class. This class will typically start off with sun salutations which is a great way to warm up the body and ramp up the intensity of the practice. Class will continue in the vinyasa style which aims to connect one posture to the next in union with the breath. We will honor the philosophy of Vinyasa by recognizing the temporary nature of all things as we continually link, or flow, from one posture to the next. We enter into a posture, are there for a while, and then leave. This class will work on improving your strength and balance in a fun and challenging way to support the ebbs and flows of daily life.

Exploring the Chakras Workshop Series

When our energy is aligned we can live in a state of mental clarity, emotional balance, and spiritual connectedness. Trauma, stress, and even just daily events can create blockages which need to be cleared in order for the energy to flow.

It is the yoga of listening. It is a journey from the noise of the external world inward to a place of peace and bliss, to the source of the transformational power of sound.

In this class offering we may use our own voice with mantra, crystal singing bowls, and (3) different gongs to explore Nada Yoga. We can still the body, quiet the mind, and open the heart to create a state of mind where joy naturally arises.

We are inextricably tied to the breath in our lives, and its deepening, lengthening and retention are at the heart of Yoga practice. In this workshop we will explore the fundamental pranayama practices of Hatha Yoga and the basics of energetic anatomy that correspond to them. Pranayama, ‘Prana’ meaning Lifeforce energy and ‘Yama’ meaning to discipline, is the practice of cultivating, balancing and amplifying your Lifeforce by means of various Breath practices. Sangha is a Sanskrit work meaning "community." Sunday Sangha is a theme-driven yoga practice that meets weekly. MYtime is a self-guided yoga and self-care experience inspired by the Mysore tradition, offering you the freedom to explore your practice at your own pace in a supportive studio environment.

During the designated MYtime hours, the studio is open for you to arrive anytime, set up your mat, and begin your practice. Whether you’re following a monthly suggested sequence provided by us, working on a personal practice developed through private lessons, or exploring our video library, this is your time to reconnect with your practice in a way that resonates with you.

What’s Included in MYtime:
• Guided Support: Monthly handouts with suggested yoga sequences to inspire your practice.
• Teacher Presence: A teacher will be available for questions and guidance, though individualized attention is not guaranteed.
• Sanctuary Activities: Access to the red light room, journaling prompts, coloring supplies, and other self-care tools.
• Tea Time: Enjoy complimentary tea as part of your experience, offering a moment to relax and connect with yourself or others in a calm, welcoming space.

Summer Beach Yoga Pop Up @ The Cove

Wind down your summer with yoga on the beach, and stay for lunch at The Cove Restaurant!

Breathe, move, and connect with nature in this all-levels sunrise beach yoga class. Feel the sand beneath your feet, listen to the soothing waves, and flow through mindful movements that build strength, balance, and inner calm. This grounding practice is designed to help you release stress, energize your body, and deepen your connection to the natural world. Kids Drum Circle

We are very excited to present a weekly drum circle for children on Wednesday evenings through the month of July!

During the circle, kids will learn to use their instrument to create both collaborative rhythms and unique rhythms both for healing and for fun!


Kids ages 5 through 12 may join, and no experience is necessary. Drums and percussion instruments are provided.

We currently offer yoga to clients detoxing from substance addiction at Hygea Healthcare Middle River and Hygea Healthcare Camp Meade. MY has a contract with Hygea for both locations, beginning with Middle River in January 2025 and Camp Meade in June 2025.

Fall Yoga Hike

Enjoy Patapsco in its fall glory on our Fall Yoga Hike! Led by our resident Park Ranger Yoga Instructor Maria, you can expect beautiful vistas, invigorating yoga stretches, and a rejuvenating hike.

The hike is beginner to intermediate with some hills and a few rocks and uneven surfaces. The yoga will be beginner level and mostly standing poses. Please bring sturdy shoes, water, and lots of warm layers. Your instructor is a first responder but please bring any personal items you might require especially medications like epi-pens and inhalers.

Meeting place 4:30 pm at the park: Admission into the park is $3 per person

We will meet at the parking lot to right after the entrance gate. Just past the nature center and under the power lines.
