Dao Yin is an ancient Daoist practice that combines gentle movement, breath, and focused awareness to cultivate the body’s vital energy, or qi. Considered one of the roots of modern qigong, Dao Yin works with the body’s natural pathways of energy, helping to release tension, improve circulation, and support a balanced nervous system.
In this introductory workshop, we will explore the foundational principles of Dao Yin and how simple, mindful movements can awaken the spine, deepen the breath, and connect the body’s internal energy systems. These practices are slow, accessible, and restorative, making them suitable for people of all experience levels.
During the workshop, you will learn:
• The basic principles behind Dao Yin and internal qigong
• How posture and breath influence the flow of qi
• Gentle movements that open the body and release accumulated tension
• Foundational practices you can incorporate into daily life
This workshop offers a doorway into the Daoist tradition of internal cultivation and provides practical tools for developing greater awareness, vitality, and ease in the body.
No prior experience with qigong or Dao Yin is necessary.
