About the Artist:

A Baltimore native, Jennifer first picked up a camera at the age of 8 and hasn’t put one down since. After taking photography classes in high school and college, she began working with a variety of other Baltimore-based photographers. Eventually, she found her way into wedding and corporate event photography and, in 2007, she launched Jennifer Smutek Photography. Serving all of Maryland, DC, and Virginia, Jennifer now photographs events, headshots, and families full-time.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys chasing light and photographing the gardens, streets, and waterways of Maryland. She now resides in Dundalk with her little family, where a large portion of her personal work is captured.

As a lifelong photographer, Jennifer now hosts photography classes, workshops, and field shoots for children, in hopes of passing the love of the craft to the next generation.
